WHAT'S Aikido ?

In Aikido there is no competition.
Thus we do not compare our strength with
others.
Rather it is the spirit and aim of our daily
Aikido practice to watch how to strengthen
our own mind, ki and body, how to interact
with other people, and how Aikido can be
of use in our daily life.
AIKIDO is Daily Life
<what is ki ? >
One of the most important things in Kokikai
Aikido is "extending Ki".
But there is no such thing as "throwing
others without touching them"
or other kinds of supernatural power.
To "extend Ki" just means "the
state in which you can develop your
potential of mind and body to the maximum".
The human mind moves the body. So by using
our mind (Ki) strongly andcorrectly we can
achieve a state of unification of mind and
body, andwe can cultivate a strong body.
4 Principles of Kokikai:
Keep One Point to develop calmness
Relax progressively
Find Correct Posture in everything
Develop your Positive Mind
We try to realize these principles not only
during Aikido practice, but also in daily
life.
